Dartford on brink of crucial stage in Blue Square Bet South season
08:00, 19 January 2012
Dartford boss Tony Burman has warned the club’s next three games – all against teams in the bottom four of Blue Square Bet South – represent one of the most important weeks in their season.
They begin with a trip to Hampton & Richmond on Saturday, travel to second-bottom Staines on Tuesday before hosting Thurrock at Princes Park on January 28.
Woking’s 3-2 win against Bromley last week puts them 17 points clear of the Darts and while Burman won’t publicly give up on the title, staying in play-off contention is his first priority.
He said: "They will be three of our toughest games, all against teams fighting against relegation and battling to stay up.
"Anyone in this league is capable of beating each other and these will be harder than playing teams around us at the top. We have to do our jobs against them."
Burman hopes Lee Noble will recover from an eye injury in time to face Hampton but defender Tom Champion misses out due to a two-match ban.
