Detectives hope dashcam footage may help them find a mum who left her baby outside a hospital.
The newborn was found outside the main entrance of Darent Valley Hospital, Dartford, at around 3.15am on Friday.
Concern is growing for her welfare, and this afternoon Kent Police issued a fresh appeal in a bid to find the mum to check on her wellbeing.
They particularly want to trace a dark, four door, saloon-style vehicle.
Motorists with dashcam fitted to their vehicles and who were near the hospital between 2.30am and 3.30am on Friday, are being urged to check their footage and contact police if they can help with the investigation.
Detective Superintendent Gavin Moss, from Kent Police, said: "It is really important that we locate the mother as we need to ensure she is safe and receives any support she may need.
"I would like to stress that this is about ensuring the mother's wellbeing - there is nothing to fear in coming forward. I would urge her to call us on 999.
"Likewise, I would encourage anyone who thinks they have information, no matter how small it may seem, to call us on 999 quoting 24-0117."
The baby is said to be safe, unhurt and being well supported by hospital staff.
