There are long delays on the M25 due to a broken down vehicle at the Dartford Tunnel.
National Highways said the west tunnel has reopened after being closed due to the incident at around 2.30pm, but heavy traffic remains on the anti-clockwise carriageway.
Drivers have experiences delays of an hour-and-a-half and traffic was queuing for about 20 miles.
There was also congestion reported back to Clacket Lane Services passing, the M26 Interchange, and on the A2 back to Danson Interchange and Gravesend, with delays through Dartford, Greenhithe, Bluewater and Bexley.
During the tunnel closure traffic was diverted via the East Tunnel.
The incident compounded existing traffic problems following an earlier accident involving a lorry which shed its load.
