Drivers are facing severe delays and seven miles of tailbacks after a lorry broke down on the Dartford Crossing
Traffic is queuing from the M25 QE2 Bridge back to Junction 28 at Brentwood in Essex, and there are further delays on the A13 westbound and routes around Lakeside.
One lane was closed due to the incident in the clockwise carriageway, but all lanes have been re-opened.
Traffic congestion was compounded by the fact two lanes were closed after J1A due to an unrelated accident.
There were also reports of separate accident on the anti-clockwise side.
The entry slip has now re-opened heading down from the roundabout at Princes Road Interchange after the vehicle was recovered.
Estimated travel time through the area is now 45 minutes.
