Drivers heading for Kent were facing delays as they approached the QEII bridge this afternoon.

Congestion at the Dartford Crossing was causing longer waiting times for many motorists.

It came after a traffic problem reported earlier in the day.

There were delays on the A282 anticlockwise entry slip from the A206 and the M25 towards the bridge from J31 A1306 to J1A A206 for Dartford.

All lanes were reopened by 4.45pm but traffic flow was taking a while to recover.
