A woman who kept hundreds of Dalmatian owners entertained online during lockdown has been surprised with gifts from her thankful watchers.
Lauran Wheaton, who lives in Dartford, held multiple virtual quizzes, dog shows, picture competitions and even a toilet roll challenge.
She began running the online events to keep spirits high in the canine community after the majority of dog shows were cancelled until autumn.
To thank Lauran for all her work, a secret Facebook group – named The Lauran Wheaton Appreciation Group – was set up to raise money to give the virtual organiser a gift.
Within 24 hours, £800 was raised and a range of treats were bought, including a Penguin experience and a portrait of her dog.
She was presented with them at Walmer Castle in Deal.
