Officers fined a woman for using a phone while supervising a learner in Dartford.
Kent Police's Dartford team took to social media after spotting the woman in Dartford Town Centre on Thursday.
The team tweeted: "Gentle reminder that using your phone while supervising a learner driver is also an offence, with the same penalty as using it behind the wheel. 6 points and £200 fine coming to the instructor in this car, seen by officers in Dartford Town Centre."
Kent Police later confirmed the woman had been a relative supervising a learner, rather than a professional instructor.
