Emergency services called to Crayford Railway Station near Dartford

Emergency services were called to a serious incident at a railway station tonight.

Police and the ambulance service were pictured at Crayford just before 7pm.

It is thought a person had been hit by a train.

Services between Dartford and Sidcup were temporarily stopped but resumed just after 8pm.

One man at the scene said the person who had been hit had been treated at the station and taken to hospital.

Southeastern tweeted: "The person involved is in the care of emergency services."

Passengers whose journeys were affected were able to use London buses at no extra cost.

British Transport Police have been contacted for further information.

On Sunday, a woman in her 60s was hit by a train at Bromley South.
