Dartford council announces headline acts
ORGANISERS of this year’s Dartford Festival are promising it will be the best ever as its headline acts are announced.
The festival on July 18 and 19 will see pop-soul artist Lemar take to the main stage for an early evening set on the Saturday.
From platinum sales to sold-out tours, it is hoped the former Fame Academy finalist and the programme’s most successful graduate will be a big hit with the borough's crowds.
The festival will also include an appearance by S Club Party - a group created by three original members of the pop band SCLUB7 as well as a performance by Strictly judge Len Goodman's dancers.
While other artists set to take to the stage include the Linda Fryday Academy of Irish Dancers, Baby Ballet and the Eastern Dance Belly Dancers Group while Petwize Zoo is coming to the festival on the Saturday with its collection of extraordinary wildlife.
