A former church could be yours if you have the cash to splash and love a project.
Land and property auctioneers Clive Emson has 135 lots listed for its next sale with what is described as an eclectic mix that will attract a variety of bidders. One is a former church and land in Alfan Lane, off Birchwood Road, Dartford.
Experts say it is "in a superb location with countryside close at hand". It has been used as a place of worship – a Gospel church - for many years and is being sold on the instructions of the trustees.
Auctioneer Joh Stockey said: “There might be the possibility of developing the site as long as all necessary consents are obtainable.
“It is well situated close to countryside and we anticipate a great deal of interest from builders and developers.”
The freehold guide price is £200-210,000.
North Kent features heavily in the up-coming land and property auction as the market continues to roar back to pre-pandemic levels.
In Clement Street, Swanley, at the back of Sutton Cottages is a parcel of equestrian land with stables called Jacksons Little Hawkland.
Auctioneer Paul Bridgeman said: “This plot includes four stables, numerous sheds, a caravan, toilet and hay barn.
“The site extends to 3.76 acres - 1.52 hectares - and it might be possible to develop as long as all necessary consents are obtainable.
“It has the remainder of a 999-year lease from 1982 and the guide price is £325,000-plus.”
These are among 135 lots on offer across southern England, London and Essex for Clive Emson's next online auction ending on Wednesday, May 5. Bidding begins on May 3.
