A former policeman from Swanley who killed a Kent grandmother in a car crash has been jailed for six-and-a-half years.
Malcolm Searles, 24, was on a personal errand when he hit 61-year-old Sandra Simpson as she crossed the road near her home in Bromley.
He had been travelling at speeds at up to 100mph in a marked police patrol car, while delivering a birthday card to his sister.
He appeared for sentence at Southwark Crown Court on Monday.
