Games machines have been smashed and a stash of money stolen after a break-in at a social club.
Thieves wearing boiler suits and with their faces covered were seen on CCTV destroying the machines at Long Valley Sports and Social Club in Fawkham Road, Longfield in the early hours of today.
The social club has been forced to close for the next few days while work to repair the damage and clear up the mess takes place.
Club steward Luke Heaver said: “They ripped open fire exit doors, smashed three fruit machines and stole the contents, then went behind the bar and stole our second till.
“As a community venue, it will affect our members as it will be a day or two until we are able to get sorted and open again.”
Luke said the thieves had two attempts at breaking in.
“We have multiple CCTV cameras where we can see the timings,” he said.
“They attempted to break in around 2am, then came back at about 2.50am with bigger tools.”
He said a large amount of cash was stolen, although he is not sure how much.
He added: “We are a non-profit charity organisation for the local community, so this is very upsetting to us all.”
A police spokesman said: “Inquiries are under way, including an examination of CCTV in the area and a forensic examination of the scene.
“Anyone with information that may assist the investigation is urged to contact police on 01474 366149, quoting reference 1-0175.”
