A mother was stunned to discover a fruity strawberry in her vegetable patch... shaped like a penis.

Carole Collen, from Dartford, was doing her usual checks of her fruit and vegetables when she found the bulging berry yesterday morning.

It immediately reminded the married mother-of-two of a man's genitals - and she took a snap to show her friends.

The 52-year-old, of East Hill, said: "When I saw it I just thought, 'oh my God!'

"It immediately reminded me of a man's bits and I just had to take a photo."

Carole, whose family were in fits of giggles at the rude fruit, added: "At first I thought a snail must have eaten into it, but no. It's funny how a strawberry can grow like that.

"My family couldn't stop laughing. I must admit, I did think it was a bit small. It would be nice if it grew a bit bigger."

But Carole said she could not wait for the fruit to grow before she tucked in.

She shared it with her family last night - along with some other normally-shaped strawberries from the garden.
