There are long queues on the Dartford Crossing approach following an earlier collision involving several vehicles.
The incident saw the A282 northbound Dartford west tunnel temporarily shut while paramedics worked at the scene.
It has since reopened following the recovery of vehicles involved.
However, long queues remain on the M25 with delays of sixty minutes and approximately seven miles of congestion on the coastbound carriageway.
The queues are stretching back past junction 3 of the M25 for the Swanley Interchange.
There are also delays on A2, on the approach junction 2 for the Darenth Interchange.
National Highways has told motorists to allow extra time for their journey if planning to use the Dartford Crossing this afternoon.
Emergency services have been contacted for more information.
