An inquest is due to open this week after an 11-year-old schoolboy died after being hit by a minibus.
Northfleet Technology College pupil Szymon Jan Lecznar passed away in hospital after suffering multiple injuries.
The incident happened in Vale Road, Northfleet, close to the junction with Colyer Road and Park Avenue at around 8.25am on February 2 as the youngster walked to school.
Flowers, cards and basketballs have since been laid on the pavement near the scene in his memory and the college released a statement paying tribute to their "talented and enthusiastic" Year 7 student.
A teenager – who was also a pedestrian – from the Gravesend area was arrested on suspicion of manslaughter and was released on bail until February 17 pending further inquiries.
The inquest – a legal hearing which ascertains the facts relating to a fatal incident – will be opened at 10am on Wednesday at County Hall in Maidstone.
