Holby City and Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat actor Lee Mead, who won BBC's Any Dream Will Do, coming to Dartford

The winner of BBC’s Any Dream Will Do will turn on the Christmas lights in one Kent town centre.

Joseph actor Lee Mead will join a host of entertainment as part of a day of festivities in Brewery Square, Dartford on Saturday, November 20.

The singer and actor, who has also appeared in Holby City, is visiting the town ahead of his performances in Fat Friends the Musical at The Orchard Theatre next year.

He will be joined on stage by The Worshipful Mayor of Dartford Cllr Rosanna Currans, along with Father Christmas and the annual colouring competition winner to turn on the lights around 5.20pm.

The event will start at 1pm with a colourful array of talented street performers including stilt walkers, unicyclists and magicians.

There will also be a brass band and even drumming Santas all courtesy of event partners Cohesion Plus.

In addition to the street performers, there will be further entertainment on stage in Brewery Square which will begin at 2.30pm. Compered by Milkshake! presenter David Ribi, fellow presenter and one

of the stars of this year’s Dartford panto, Kiera-Nicole will also be appearing along with Britain’s Got Talent: The Champions winners, Twist and Pulse.

The day will also feature local band Beer Pressure, Orchard Theatre Choir, Orchard Theatre Ukulele Group, a tribute to Dua Lipa and singer Shane Hampsheir.
