Killer Kenneth Noye could be out of prison and flying to the Costa del Sol within weeks, according to a former police officer.

Former Detective Superintendent Ian Brown told of his fears that Noye would be left unsupervised, after being released from prison.

Noye was jailed for life after he murdered Stephen Cameron, 21, during a fight on the M25 at the Swanley interchange on May 19, 1996.

However, the Parole Board has cleared him for release from Standford Hill Open Prison on the Isle of Sheppey for the past two years.

Earlier this week, kmfm's Nicola Everrett interviewed retired Detective Superintendent Nick Biddiss, who helped put Noye behind bars, about his release.

He believes Noye should be kept locked up.

Mr Brown feels the same and is urging the authorities to strictly supervise Noye, jailed for life for the road rage killing.

He believes Noye, 72, has saved £5million and still owns a property in Spain.

Mr Brown, who helped jail the double killer, fears Noye will flee to his Costa Del Sol home, far away from British police.

He told the Daily Mirror: “He’s a very, very ­dangerous man.

"He stabbed two people to death.

"He’s a career criminal who is very good at what he does.

“Within a month he’ll be back in Spain.

"I think he will disappear within weeks, he’s still got property in Spain that they weren’t able to take off him.

"He’s got plenty of resources.”

Noye owned a glamorous multi-million pound villa set in vast grounds in the resort of Atlanterra, packed with luxury chalets and restaurants.

The home, near the tiny fishing village of Zahara de los Atunes, was reportedly maintained by his family when he was inside.

According to locals “It is a stunning place and he is definitely planning to come back.”
