Lambs arrive just in time at farm fundraiser

08:00, 16 April 2016

Determined not to miss out on the fun, five new lambs were born during Harvel House Farm’s annual lambing day on Saturday.

Springtime at the farm saw 1,000 people visit the farm in Harvel Lane, Harvel, Meopham, to feed the newborn lambs.

There was also face-painting, a barbecue for guests to tuck in to, and the farm shop was also open as usual, with a range of homemade goods.

The event raised £5,000 for the ellenor hospice charity, which looks after patients in Gravesham, Dartford and Swanley, and spokesman Angela Ward said they were delighted with the turnout and the amount raised.
