A care home resident has celebrated her 100th birthday this week.
Margaret Dixon was surrounded by her fellow residents and staff from Gardenia House, Dartford and close family including her grandson and her three great-grandchildren.
She said: "There was good entertainment. We really enjoyed ourselves. I think it went well."
The afternoon was full of visits and sing-alongs followed by an afternoon tea and video messages from Australia and Italy.
When asked the secret to her longevity, she said she has always liked being busy and enjoyed looking after friends and family.
Once a keen gardener, Margaret has won awards for her gardens and would offer home-grown produce to neighbours from her allotment.
She has been a resident at Gardenia House care home since 2015 and proudly showed off her card from the Queen to residents and staff when she celebrated her landmark birthday on September 22.
