Part of M20 shut near Swanley due to horses in the road

Part of a motorway is shut due to animals in the road.
The M20 was closed eastbound between Junction 3, near the M26, and Junction 1, near Swanley, from midday.
A National Highways spokesperson said: “Four horses were removed to a nearby secure field and the road reopened at 3.50pm”.

Traffic was diverted via locally via the M25, A2, M2 then cars rejoined the M20 at Junction 4.
