M25 closed near Dartford Crossing after man seen on wrong side of bridge over the carriageway

Traffic had to be stopped on the M25 near the Dartford Crossing after a man was seen on a bridge over the motorway.
Police held up motorists on the anticlockwise carriageway at about 9.30pm last night and closed the tunnel while they dealt with the incident.
Officers also closed the motorway in both directions a Junction 1A for the A282 for Erith and Swanscombe and Junction 2 at the A2 Darenth Interchange.
The closure was due to a man seen on the wrong side of the barrier on a the Bow Arrow Lane footbridge above the motorway.
Police spokesman James Walker, said: "Officers attended the scene and the man had been brought to safety by 10.44pm.
"He has since been handed into the care of health professionals.
"To ensure public safety the motorway was closed to traffic during the incident."
