A226 London Road in Swanscombe blocked in both directions after crash and man stabbed

A busy road has been closed in both directions after a crash near a pedestrian crossing.
Emergency services, including an air ambulance, have been called to the A226 London Road in Swanscombe.
Police have since confirmed they were called to reports of a disturbance in the road and a man had been stabbed.
A spokesman said: “Officers attended the scene where a man was treated for serious injuries. He has been taken to a London hospital for further medical attention.
“A second man has been conveyed to a local hospital for injuries consistent with a stab wound.
“His injury is not described as life threatening. Two men and two women have been arrested in connection with the incident and an investigation is underway to establish the circumstances.
“The A226 London Road is currently closed to traffic between the junctions with Knockhall Road and Claylands Lane.”
Motorists have been warned of queuing traffic due to the police incident between Lovers Lane and Craylands Lane.
Earlier today, the fire service and officers were called to nearby Church Road after a fire in the early hours.
As a result, three people were taken to hospital, and the force is still investigating.
