Swanley boxer Martin Welsh was disqualified from his light-middleweight fight against Bolton's Rick Godding on Saturday night.
Welsh (pictured) was already behind on points before referee John Latham stopped the contest, after round six of the eight round bout, citing a continuous use of the head from the Kent man.
Godding suffered a cut to his right eye in the first round, after an accidental clash, but Latham deducted a point from Welsh in round four for use of the head.
With Welsh on the ropes in round six there was another contact and Latham stopped the fight, awarding the win to Godding.
Welsh, fighting out of the Bodyshots Academy in Crayford, now has two defeats on his card, from 12 bouts.
