A motorcyclist has been seriously injured after colliding with a van on the approach to a busy stretch of road in Dartford.

The man was hurt following the crash on a slip road leading from Princes Road to the Dartford Crossing shortly after 2pm.

Police were called to the scene and a road closure was enforced on both carriageways. The route has since reopened.

The air ambulance was also called and landed in nearby Hesketh Park.

The man was taken to hospital with injuries that are not believed to be life-threatening.
