A motorcyclist has died following a serious crash involving a white lorry at the Dartford Crossing.
The man, in his 30s, was riding a white KTM 390 motorcycle in the east tunnel between Kent and Essex at around 9.15am this morning.
He collided with a white lorry, pulling a black trailer. Police and paramedics attended but sadly the man was pronounced deceased at the scene.
The tunnel has since reopened but long delays remain with motorists advised to find alternative routes where possible.
Investigators are now appealing for information and officers are appealing for any witnesses to get in contact.
They would also like to obtain dashcam footage that shows the lorry or the motorcyclist prior to the incident and in the moments leading up to the collision.
Anyone with information should call 01622 798538 quoting reference HW/MW/109/21.
