Motorist gets stuck in flooded road
10:02, 10 February 2009
Motorists are being asked to avoid a road in Swanscombe after a gigantic puddle emerged.
The expanse of water in Southfleet Road (B259), is around 100 metres long and thought to be half a metre deep.
It has caused chaos for drivers since the early hours of this morning - with one motorist having already got their car stuck in the water.
Firefighters from Swanscombe and Larkfield were called to the scene at 4.20am to help the driver - but by the time they arrived the car had already been towed out by another vehicle.
Kent Police have cordoned off both ends of the road and are advising motorists to avoid the area.
