M25 closed near Dartford Crossing after man hit by lorry

The M25 has been shut after a man was hit by a lorry.
An air ambulance has landed at the scene of the serious collision on the motorway near the Dartford Crossing.
Motorists have been warned to expect delays in the area following the incident shortly before 2.30pm.
The M25 was closed in both directions but it is now closed anti-clockwise between J2 and J1B due to the incident on the link road from the A2 southbound to the M25 anti-clockwise.
The clockwise carriageway was temporarily stopped to allow the air ambulance to land safely but all lanes are now open.
Police remain in attendance and are carrying out their investigations.
At 8.30pm one lane of the entry slip road remained closed and two lanes reopened but congestion back to J4 for Orpington.
There were delays of 50 minutes and five miles of congestion on the anti-clockwise carriageway, according to an update by National Highways at 6pm.
A police spokesman said: “We were was called at about 2.25pm today following a serious collision involving a lorry and a pedestrian on the A282 near the Dartford Crossing.
“Officers are currently in attendance and the M25 is closed in both directions between Junctions 1B and 2.
“Delays are expected and motorists are advised to find alternative routes if possible.”
Police say the man has suffered serious injuries.
