Person dies after being hit by train in Farningham Road near Dartford

A person has died after being hit by a train.
The emergency services were called to Farningham Road, Sutton-at-Hone, Dartford, at around 6.30am on Saturday, June 17, following reports of a casualty on the tracks.
The line between Swanley and Rochester was shut as a result.
A British Transport Police spokesman added: “Paramedics also attended however sadly a person was pronounced dead at the scene.
“The incident is not being treated as suspicious and a file will be prepared for the coroner.”
Network Rail staff and emergency services remained at the scene for a number of hours and numerous services were cancelled or diverted.
A minibus was arranged to run between Sole Street and Meopham from 10.50am and the line was reopened in both directions by about 1pm.
Police and the ambulance service have been approached for further information.
