Motorists faced huge delays this evening after two crashes on the M25.

A two-car collision on the Thurrock side of the Dartford Tunnel closed off the entire carriageway at 4pm.

The lanes were re-opened but shortly afterwards the westbore tunnel of the crossing was closed due to a collision between a car and motorbike, according to Highways England.

Traffic conditions improved by about 6.30pm, and the west tunnel was reopened just before 9pm.
