Trains from Dartford into London Charing Cross via Charlton are affected.

Travellers have been warned to avoid the route and to use trains into London Bridge if they need to get to the area.

A statement on the National Rail Enquiries website says: "Passengers causing a disturbance on a train between Charlton and London Bridge means trains between Charlton and London Bridge may be delayed or diverted.

"If you are travelling from Westcombe Park, Maze Hill, Greenwich or Deptford towards Central London, please take a train to Charlton first, then change there.

"Emergency services have been called and should be present shortly."

A tweet from Southeastern said police had arrived at the scene and staff are working to ensure the train can be moved on.

At 2.30pm the rail operator said the train had been moved and the line cleared again.

A spokesman for British Transport Police said: "British Transport Police were called to Westcombe Park station at 1.36pm today following reports of a disturbance on board a train.

"Officers attended and a man was subsequently arrested on suspicion of being drunk and disorderly in a public place and conveyed to custody."
