The QEII bridge will be closed overnight this weekend.

The closure will run from 8pm on Saturday October 5 until 10am on Sunday October 6, as part of bridge maintenance work.

Southbound traffic will be diverted through the east tunnel.

Northbound traffic will use only the west bore, and a fully signed diversion will be in place for oversized vehicles heading north.

As part of this closure, the clockwise entry slip road will be closed at junction 31.

Road users will be directed to follow a fully signed diversion via junction 30

The extended closure, is part of a two year project to replace the expansion joints, which allow structures like the bridge to expand and contract with seasonal changes in temperature.
