Police say they were called to a report of concern for a person on Princes Road near the junction with Green Street Green Road just after 4pm.

“Patrols attended and a rolling road block was put in place while officers responded to the incident,” a spokesperson said.

“The person was passed into the care of medical professionals and the road was re-opened shortly before 5pm.”

Congestion was tailing back to Junction 30 for Lakeside and Tilbury.

Once that had cleared a lane was shut on the M25 anticlockwise, just after Junction 2 for the A2 and Darenth Interchange, following a crash.

Traffic approaching the crossing was affected.

And tonight there will be further disruptions for drivers using the crossing.

The eastbound tunnel will be shut from 10pm until 5.30am for safety fence repairs.
