Memorial service for bereaved parents to be held at Darent Valley Hospital, Dartford
01:00, 13 May 2017
Darent Valley Hospital will hold a memorial service on Sunday for parents who have lost babies during pregnancy or immediately afterwards.
There will be an opportunity for people to remember their loved ones by lighting a candle and releasing a balloon for him or her, having their names read out and placed on a memorial tree, and inscribed in a memorial book.
Afterwards, over tea and cake, there will be a chance to meet other parents and a hospital midwife who is also a psychotherapist and bereavement counsellor.
It will start at 3pm in the hospital’s Philip Farrant Centre.
