Members of staff were threatened and inquiries are ongoing, but there have been no arrests at this time.
At 5.15pm the restaurant remained closed. It is usually open until 9pm on Mondays.
Staff declined to comment, but a spokesman for the restaurant chain confirmed that an attempted robbery had taken place.
They said: "We can confirm that an attempted robbery took place at our Dartford store yesterday.
"The safety of our team members and guests remains our priority and no one was harmed during yesterday's incident.
"We are cooperating fully with the police in their investigation."
