A young man had to be treated for head injuries and taken to hospital after being hit by a car.

Police and ambulance crews were called at around 9am following the accident in Watling Street, Dartford.

An ambulance and two paramedic cars were sent out and a man believed to be around 18 years old was treated for head and leg injuries.

He has now been taken to King's College Hospital in London.

The road has now been re-opened.
