Fire in Childs Crescent, Swanscombe, after roof struck by lightning

A roof caught fire after it was struck by lightning earlier today.
Kent Fire and Rescue Service was called to Childs Crescent, Swanscombe, just after 2.15am today to reports a flat roof was ablaze.
They sent two engines and crews used jets to put out the flames. The volunteer response team also attended.
It was all over by 3.30am.
A spokesperson said: “There were no reported injuries and the cause is believed to be accidental and due to a lightning strike.”
