Fun day at McDonald's, Dartford, raised cash for Ronald McDonald House Charities

Children got more than a Happy Meal at McDonald’s in Dartford, as staff threw a family fun day.
Victoria Palmer organised the day to raise money for the Ronald McDonald House Charities, which provide accommodation near hospitals so families can stay close if a child is receiving treatment far from home.
Victoria, 32, said: “It was fantastic. Including all the cuddly toys we sold, we raised about £1,000. Everyone donated things like balloons, and the lady who did the facepainting donated her time for free, so we only spent about £30, which means all of the money can go to the charity.
“We had so much going on, around 65 local businesses donated raffle prizes so nearly everyone who bought a ticket, won a prize, which was great.”
Face-painting and glitter tattoos were on offer as well as a raffle and cake sale. The Mayor and Mayoress of Dartford, Cllr John Burrell and his wife Eija joined in the arts and crafts workshop.
