False alarm at Dartford's Bluewater Shopping Centre
15:05, 18 February 2018
Bluewater Shopping Centre in Dartford saw an evacuation this afternoon as shoppers put safety first and left the building amid a fire alarm, which proved to be false.
The incident was never reported to Kent Fire and Rescue, and Bluewater did not evacuate customers, but customers still steadily flocked outside.
Bluewater spokesman Laura Burch said: "A fire alarm was briefly triggered in the winter garden this afternoon, this was a false alarm and all areas remain open as normal.”
