Police were called to the scene at around 9.45pm.
The force said shortly before this, the 4x4 had failed to stop for officers and was suspected to be stolen.
A spokesman added: "The driver, a man aged in his 30s, was arrested on suspicion of theft, failing to stop for police and dangerous driving.
"He received medical treatment from ambulance crews and was later taken into police custody."
A witness who spoke to security staff at The Priory said the driver could have smashed though the doors of the shopping centre if he had not hit the parked cars.
One of the damaged vehicles is thought to belong to an Uber driver.
