Investigation after attempted abduction of boy in Crayford

A stranger pulled up alongside a 12-year-old boy and said "get in the car".
Police are now hunting the suspect after he was seen acting suspiciously on Shuttle Road, Crayford, at 8.51am yesterday.
When there they spoke to the boy's mother, who reported he had been walking along the road when the suspect approached him.
The man is reported to have subsequently left the area in a vehicle.
Officers carried out inquiries at the scene but couldn’t find any trace of the suspect or car. No arrests have been made.
