Parts of the A2 are set to shut overnight for resurfacing works.
The London-bound carriageway will be fully closed between Bean and Darenth, for the M25, tonight (Wednesday) and tomorrow (Thursday) between 8pm and 6am.
A diversion route will be in place via the B255, A296 and A282 Darenth Interchange.
From Friday (March 8) to March 29, the coastbound carriageway will be closed between Darenth and Bean on weeknights from 10pm to 6am.
Then on Saturday (March 9), Sunday (March 10), and March 16, the coastbound exit slip road at Ebbsfleet and one lane on the coastbound carriageway will be closed from 8pm to 6am.
Motorists are being asked to stay on the A2 to the Toll Gate junction where they can then join the London-bound carriageway to return to Ebbsfleet.
National Highways officers are closing the stretch of road to resurface the A2 between Ebbsfleet and Darenth to maintain safety and improve drivers’ journeys.
Work started on February 12 and is expected to take around eight weeks.
Elsewhere on Kent’s roads, the M2 coastbound entry slip at junction 2 for Strood is closed for emergency barrier repairs.
