Suspected thieves have been arrested after their car ground to a halt in traffic at the Dartford Crossing.
Police officers on patrol around Watling Street, Dartford, became suspicious of a car they had seen being driven at around 10.45pm last night.
The vehicle was believed to have links to several burglaries and officers tracked it travelling in Princes Road, Bob Dunn Way and along the A282.
The car, a silver BMW 5 series, then had to stop for stationary traffic on the approach to the Dartford Crossing, where officers boxed it in before exiting their patrol cars to speak with the occupants.
Two men from Woolwich aged 24 and 18, along with a 26-year-old man from Ipswich and a 16 year-old boy of Woolwich were arrested on suspicion of going equipped for theft.
Each man remains in custody as enquiries continue.
