Teenager arrested in Suffolk Road, Dartford on suspicion of High Street bag robbery

A teenager has been arrested on suspicion of a robbery and drugs possession after a short chase in the town.
Police on patrol in Suffolk Road, Dartford recognised a young boy as a suspect and pursued him on foot.
The incident happened at around 3.51pm yesterday and the 13-year-old is alleged to have run away when approached by officers.
It comes after a bag was stolen from a man in the High Street two days earlier in a suspected robbery.
The teenager was arrested on suspicion of the offence following the short chase.
He is also reported to have been found in possession of a quantity of cannabis.
The boy has since been released on bail, pending further inquiries, until January 6.
