Man who was living in Greenhithe telephone box 'receiving the help he needs'

A man who has been living in a telephone box in Station Road, Greenhithe, is "receiving the help he needs".
The update, from Kent County Cllr Peter Harman, follows concern for the rough sleeper, thought to be in his early 20s.
He has been working to support the man alongside the Revs Carol and Andrew Avery, of St Mary, Greenhithe and St Mary, Stone.
Cllr Harman, who represents Swanscombe and Greenhithe, posted a statement in a community Facebook page on Saturday.
It said: "The young man has received direct assistance from the appropriate agencies, and has now moved away from the area. I am pleased he is receiving the help he needs.
"The telephone box is now unlocked and in working order, and I have asked BT to provide any maintenance required.
"I would like to thank Carol and Andrew Avery for the help given, and residents for their patience whilst this matter was dealt with sympathetically."
Cllr Harman visited the young man after his whereabouts were made public on social media earlier this month.
The Revs Carol and Andrew Avery provided help through the Mary's Child project - a joint initiative between their respective churches that offers pastoral care, food and support to people in need.
