Thug jailed after police officers spat at and assaulted outside The Clipper in Dartford

A thug who attacked and spat at police officers during an ugly disturbance at a town centre pub has been jailed.
Taylor Carter was at The Clipper in Dartford when police were called after reports of two men had been acting aggressively towards staff and customers.
Officers arrived at the pub at about 3.15pm on August 28.
Carter, of Wrotham Road in Gravesend, and pal Keenan Fairclough turned on the police officers as they tried to bring the pair into custody .
Seven officers and a community support officer were assaulted and several were spat at during the altercation, a court heard.
Carter, 25, initially denied three counts of assaulting an emergency worker and possessing Class A drugs.
But at a hearing at Medway Magistrates' Court on October 6, he changed his plea and admitted the four charges.
He was sentenced to 60 days in prison and ordered to pay £100 compensation and £85 costs.
Earlier, 19-year-old Fairclough of Clive Road, Rochester was sentenced to 26 weeks in a young offenders' institution.
He pleaded guilty to four counts of assaulting an emergency worker at Folkestone Magistrates' Court last month.
