Traffic is being held on the A2 following a three vehicle collision.
Both lanes of the westbound carriageway have been stopped near the B255 Bean Interchange slip road exit.
Things are expected to clear at around 5.15pm.
Eastbound traffic is moving slower than usual as drivers slow down to look.
Police spokesman James Walker said: "At present no injuries have been reported however motorists may encounter delays due to the road being obstructed."
