Three new arrests in shooting at Hill Rise, Darenth

Police investigating a double shooting in Darenth have made three more arrests and launched an appeal for witnesses.
A 43-year-old man from Chatham, a 21-year-old man from Erith and a 32-year-old man from Erith were arrested on today on suspicion of possession of a firearm with intent.
The arrests follow a report that gunshots were heard at 7.12pm on Monday in Hill Rise. Officers believe those involved are known to each other.
A 26-year-old man and a 30-year-old man, both from Erith, who were arrested yesterday have been released on police bail until May 17 pending further inquiries.
A 20-year-old man from Folkestone, reportedly with a gunshot wound to his leg, was questioned yesterday but released without charge. He is not being linked to the incident.
Officers remain in the area carrying out searches and making inquiries.
Witnesses who might have seen guns fired, or a gold-coloured car driving in the Hill Rise area between 6.30pm and 7.30pm on Monday, are asked to call Detective Inspector Tristan Kluibenschadl or Det Sgt Matt Banks on 01622 654864.
Armed police were called to Hill Rise just after 7pm on Monday after residents reported hearing gunfire. Two men were shot and a car was left with bullet holes in its windscreen.
Inquiries revealed a 26-year-old man from Erith had been shot and had made his own way to hospital.
He and a 30-year-old man from Erith were both arrested on suspicion of possession of a firearm with intent.
