Motorists are facing delays after a van burst into flames on a roundabout on the M25.
Firefighters were called to the motorway near junction 2 at the Darenth Interchange, Dartford.
Highways south east tweeted about the incident and said as a result, the north side of the roundabout was closed and there is no access to the A2 coast-bound carriageway.
Motorist also couldn't access the M25 from the A2 in the other direction and were urged to use an alternative route via the A282 Junction 1b exit and join the clockwise M25 instead.
One lane has now opened but traffic is still moving slowly.
Spokesman for Kent Fire and Rescue Service Sacha Taylor, said crews were called out at 11.12am and two fire engines were sent to the scene to put out the fire.
Crews left the scene at about 11.30am.
