M25 and QEII Bridge delays due to van fire between Dartford and Stone junctions

There are long delays on the M25 back onto the the QE2 Bridge due to a van fire.
Fire crews were called to the scene between J1A for Dartford and J1B for Stone.
A fire service spokesperson said: “Two fire engines attended and crews, wearing breathing apparatus, used high-pressure hose reel jets to extinguish the fire.
“There were no reported injuries and the cause is not yet known.”
The incident has caused long delays in the area due to the closure of one lane.
There are reports of congestion to a mile before J30 on the A13 for Lakeside back over the bridge.
The emergency services were called at around 10.15am and left the scene shortly after 11am.
Police have also been contacted for comment.
