The delays were due to a crash on the northbound A282 approaching the Dartford Crossing.

Firefighters released a woman trapped in her vehicle, which had overturned following a crash involving a car and a roadside safety barrier.

Two passengers in the overturned vehicle and another occupant of the second vehicle involved had been freed before crews arrived.

Emergency services were called at 7pm, and had made the area safe by 8.20pm.
